A favorite lacto-fermented pickle revamped with subtle smoky appeal. Many, many months ago someone on Instagram had posted a picture of “smoked” pickles. It was one of those, “ooh! those sound awesome! I bet I could make them…” moments. Little did I know I would be in for months of pickle-making trials. Something so simple, yet so complex. I even contemplating smoking the cucumbers in the smoker, but eventually thought better of it.
